they ignore the source of liberty.

Having liberty and freedom will not result in a better government. Liberty and freedom are not a cause; they are an effect.  The cause is right living and the effect is liberty and freedom.   Right living consists in acknowledging the Creator as the source of our unalienable rights and obeying his laws and commandments.  Man is free to do anything he wants but not free to ignore the Top Ten.  The Top Ten are commandments (orders), not suggestions that are meant for our good.  They are an expression of The Law of Causation.  “You reap what you have sow.”   This law is been recognized not only in the declaration of the Ten Commandments of Judeo-Christian but has been the philosophical foundation of every major culture.  When people observe this law, they enjoy liberty, freedom and happiness.  When they disobey this law; however, they sow the wind, and reap the whirlwind.  Hosea 8:7  The whirlwind has no stalk, no bud, yields no meal, and if it does yield meal, strangers swallow it up.

America is an ideal and is meant only for a righteous people.   John Adams, our second president, once said,

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.

It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
